ARTIST STATEMENT
I include letters and numbers in my cityscapes. They add visual interest and symbolize my many years of working in publishing and graphic design. Masking tape was used to keep edges sharp. Fast-drying acrylic paint allowed me to paint quickly. Matte varnish was used to eliminate reflection. Here in Minnesota, fishing is a popular sport. This includes fishing in the winter using ice houses.
ARTIST STATEMENT
A major concern facing life on Earth is greater heat. Earth is getting warmer. Man’s activities are a major contributor. Letters and numbers represent human intelligence. They are used to both communicate and to deceive.
