I was commissioned to do three paintings for the U.S. Bank Stadium art collection. My theme was “Play Ball Minnesota” featuring some of the sports venues in the Twin Cities. For visual interest, I included many letters and numbers. The paintings hang in the corridor to Norseman suites, “Gold” side/main level of stadium.
Thank you to the Vikings’ ownership and Tracie Speca-Ventura and Camille Speca of Sports & the Arts for including me in the art collection. More of their work at https://www.sportsandthearts.com/

The sport of basketball has been a big part of my life. I played on varsity teams in high school and college and later helped coach the 1969 Minnesota state championship team from Rochester John Marshall High School. While publishing newspapers, I took photos of games for our sports section. My basketball paintings are based these photos.
